Engage card provider to change
In September we were advised that Solaris, the holding company of Contis, who issues the Engage card was streamlining their operations and that Contis/Engage was to be dissolved from operations. This would have placed many Engage cards holders at risk of having nowhere for the monies paid from Discovery Credit Union as received from various Government agencies. Below is an update from the company that acquired Engage's card base.
Some exciting news regarding the Engage card, which has been integral to supporting your members’ financial needs.
Suits Me has acquired the Engage card customers from Contis, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Suits Me and for you. Importantly, Suits Me has not purchased the Engage business, just the customer base and some other assets. As a result, we want to ensure a smooth and beneficial transition for you and your members.
Engage customers will today receive 60 days’ notice of termination of their Engage card and account. This is required under their terms and conditions. The notice will also tell the Engage customers that, unless they close their account in the meantime, their balance will be transferred to a new Suits Me card and account in January. To ensure they receive the best value possible, Suits Me will put each customer onto the cheapest of the three pricing structures we offer, based on historical usage by the individual customer. Because we want Engage customers to feel very welcome at Suits Me, we will also be guaranteeing that, for their first three months with Suits Me, we will not charge them any more than their fees would have been under Engage (and, after that, we think charging will be comparable).
