ENGAGE CLOSURE
ALL MEMBERS
WE advised recently that Engage, our card partner for many years, will be closing down. The Engage business was acquired by a card provider by name of Suits Me.
All active Engage card account holders will have received a Suits Me card in the post over the last 6 - 8 weeks. The decision to adopt this card remains with each individual.
Discovery Credit Union has decided not to promote Suits Me to members going forward. The reasons for this are complex and carefully considered. In short we do not believe that for the majority of Discovery members who have used Engage in the past, that Suits Me offers any significant advantages or savings in account fees.
As of 7th January 2025 we stopped making payments to all Engage cards. Any funds previously remitted to Engage will now be paid into a Regular Shares 2 account, which can be accessed via our secure Members Area. Withdrawals to nominated Payee accounts can be processed from there.
The funds held in this account is fully accessible.
Any members currently holding Engage cards, as their sole bank account, we do need you to contact us - urgently. We have sent all affected members communications via email and/or post. We need to know where you would like future payments sent.
This could be the Suits Me card you received - if so please contact us with the following details - Account holder Name; Account Number and Sort Code. This can be found on the back of the Suits Me card.
If you decide not to use the Suits Me card, we will require account details of any other bank account held in your name.
