Life savings insurance is provided at no extra cost when you save with us, paying a lump sum on your savings when you die (subject to terms and conditions. Certain restrictions apply. Ask us for details)
Quality Service
You are assured of professional service from the Credit Union at all times. And you do not pay a transaction fee for saving with us, or borrowing money. The only fees the Credit Union apply are – Joining fee £2.50; Annual Membership fee £3.50 and for all Faster Payment withdrawals a nominal charge of £0.30 applies per transaction.

Flexible & Convenient Loans
Members may be able to borrow straight away using our Discovery Loan or save for 9 weeks to borrow a larger amount at a lower rate with our Standard Loan (link). All our loans are fully insured (for free), against disability or death (T&C’s apply)
- You live or work (paid or unpaid) in post codes DD1 to DD11.
- or, you are a tenant or an employee of a local social housing association such as Perth & Kinross Council, Fife Council, Hillcrest Group etc...
- or, You are an employee of one of our employer partners.
- You live with, and are related to a current Discovery Credit Union member.
- Submit application to join here or complete a Membership Application Form and return to our office
- Make an initial deposit of £7.50, which covers
- Initial joining fee of £2.50
- Initial deposit - Minimum initial £5.00 savings deposit.
We use a Digital ID system to verify your identity. On occasion, we may ask you for Two forms of acceptable ID - First document to prove your name and address and the second document to prove name and either address or date of birth.
